My favorite memory of Padre Serra is being able to raise my children in such a wonderful, loving and accepting church.

I have so many, over the past 25 years we have been coming to Padre Serra. Family weddings, confirmations, baptisms, the building of the Church and the Hall, and watching as we deliver angel tags gifts to the needy parishes in our area. We are lucky to belong.

Our favorite memory at Padre Serra was when our church building opened 25 years ago. Right away, we fell in love with our unique “Mass in the Round” architecture. Instead of looking at “backs,” we were able to see many parishioners praying and singing with their happy faces. Instantly we felt we belonged!

Our family has thousands of Padre Serra memories. Early years at the seminary, digging the first shovel full of dirt for the building of our church, bringing our lambs to Christmas Eve mass, traveling with Fr. Kidney and the teens to see the Pope in Denver for World Youth Day, celebrating sacraments with all four of our kids...going to SAW, staying up all night for our Lock-ins, Confirmation retreats and adult retreats...but, the best of it all is Sunday Eucharist. We've been to mass all over the world, and truly, we know we are home when we walk through the doors at Padre Serra.
