When we moved here we looked for the right church. On our first visit to Padre Serra it felt like a great fit. That is a lasting memory that I will not forget. Also Fr. Patrick thought my husband and I were much younger than we were so that was also apart of my favorite memories her at the Parish.

We have so many wonderful memories. I think we especially enjoy Christmas Eve mass. It’s always a homily full of our Lord’s holy inspiration, all the families arriving early to get a seat, the church is perfectly decorated, with Jesus delicately placed in the manger and our choir that has practiced endlessly. All of our Padre Serra families are decked out in their finest and behaving at their best. Everything comes together for the birth of our Lord Jesus.

During the pandemic, when there was so much uncertainty and fear, I so appreciate the church's ability to offer comfort and some sense of normalcy to us all. From the pivoting to livestream Mass, to the sight of Fr. Pat giving Communion on the sidewalk in front of the church each Sunday, and then to our wonderful Mass on the Grass, it felt like the church was right there with us, trying to navigate our way through what was going on. It's so wonderful to be back, as one, in the church now, but those memories of how Padre Serra Parish stood with all of us in those difficult days, will always be something I cherish.
