I always wanted to teach catechism and one Day I thought about it in the morning before going to mass and then I saw the sign that they needed catechists so I said “this is a sign that I should do it”. So I did it, and now this was my first year teaching it and I loved sharing my knowledge with the kids. They learned so much and I also learned new things! Can’t wait for my second year! I love working with the children in the parish because they have such interesting and intelligent questions about God and faith. As a former school teacher, working with Faith Formation has allowed me to connect with students again in a meaningful way and help those who want to learn more about God. I started because of my children, but this continues to be an enormous blessing to me.

One of my favorite memories was when the kids who received their first communion stood on their chairs at the end of Mass so everyone could see them.

I love seeing my kids grow up in this church. We always say that Padre Serra is our second home.
